Short-time travel stipends for participation in the international summer
school 'Greifswalder Ukrainicum'

The Greifswalder Ukrainicum is an international summer school for science
and research of Ukraine. It is financed by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und
Halbach-Stiftung, Essen, Germany. Language courses and seminars on the
history and literature of Ukraine in German, English and Ukrainian held by
international renowned instructors provide the unique opportunity to learn
about the culture and varieties of Ukraine.

The Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald awards 15 short-time travel
stipends for students and PhD candidates to support their participation in
the Greifswalder Ukrainicum 2010 from August 11 to August 25, 2010 in
Greifswald, Germany.

Application requirements:

Sufficient Knowledge of German and/or English

Distinct interest in Ukraine

Student or PhD candidate

Please enclose in your application

-a personal data sheet (CV)

-a short summary of your studies

-a short presentation of your distinct interest in Ukraine and your
motivation to participate in the Ukraincium of no more than 2500 words.

The stipends cannot be awarded to

-Students with a permanent residency in Germany

-Students from Germany, who are currently on a study leave abroad

The stipends are awarded according to individual circumstances. Application
deadline is April 12, 2010.
